Bauer Vapor x90r inline skates vs K2 Skate Raider Inline Skates
Whether you are an advanced player or just starting to skate, choosing the right skates is important, especially if you are buying skates for your child.
There are so many different types of skates that it can sometimes be really difficult to choose. That’s why we have done a little comparison between Bauer X90R inline skates and K2 Skate Raider Inline Skates that will, hopefully, help you in your pursuit for the perfect skate.
The Bauer Vapor X90R skates have a high quality pro level quarter package. It is ultralight weight tech mesh which combined with thermoformed X-rib pattern provides really great performance.
It is Thermo formable to ensure each player gets the perfect fit. The boot has patented pro-integrated heel and ankle support so the foot doesn’t slide around while playing.
The tongue is lined with felt and has a high-density metatarsal guard which protects the leg from direct hits. The liner of the boot is made of slightly abrasive hydrophobic fiber which allows the foot to dry faster and keeps the boot cleaner for a longer time.
The footbed is made of moisture management fabric and also has stabilizing grip texture. On the other hand, the K2 Skate Raider Inline Skate has SoftBoot adjustable construction. It is made in a way to ensure comfort and stability for beginners. The boot has enhanced heel support to give the player much needed stability.
The most interesting feature the K2 skates have is adjust ability. They have 5 full sizes adjust ability which means that children can use them for a longer period of time without the fear of overgrowing them. Some other helpful features are stability plus cuff which provides good support and stability, and the K2 speed lacing. This is very helpful for children to put the skates on quickly and securely.
One-piece Hi-Lo Vanguard Ventilator aluminum frame can be found on X90R inline skates. The name Ventilator comes from the holes Bauer has made to make it even lighter without compromising stability. The Hi-Lo construction gives the player more aggressive stance which improves the speed and agility.
It is connected to the quarter package through fiber composite outsole which is very durable and makes the boot even lighter. The K2 Raider skate has F.B.I. (Frame Base Interlocking) system. It reduces road vibrations, making the stride more comfortable for the beginners. It has flat wheel configuration which means that the boot is very stable and can be used for longer strides.
Wheels and bearings
Bauer Vapor x90r inline skates vs K2 Skate Raider Inline Skates. Even though the K2 skate is advertised as having indoor/outdoor wheels the practice has shown that that type of wheels is still not very durable on the harder surfaces like asphalt or concrete. They combine the K2 72mm (or 70mm for sizes 11-12) wheels with ABEC3 skate bearings.
The Bauer Vapor X90R, on the other hand, has revision variant classic gold wheels. They are soft to ensure better grip but it means that they will wear out quickly if used outdoors. The Hi-Lo Swiss LE 608 bearings ensure smooth rides and improved durability.
Choosing between these skates is not too difficult. If you want your child to try skating, or they already skate but are still growing so you don’t want to spend money on buying new skates every season then the K2 Raider skates are a perfect choice. If you (or your child) are already intermediate or advanced player… well you catch my drift.
The only drawback I can find when it comes to Bauer Vapor X90R skates is their price. So if you are not sure whether you want to really engage in this sport, maybe the cheaper option is better.
