Rink Rat Hornet wheels offer excellent grip as well as speed. They are mounted with Mission Swiss LE 608 bearings which are the fastest bearing Mission makes. The traditional Hi-Lo frames come with 80mm wheels on the back and 76mm on the front. The composite outsole makes sure to give the player a good amount of rigidity and power transfer. The quarter package is not too stiff, but still stiff enough for more advanced players. The tongue is a bit taller than usual to provide more protection. It also has exhaust holes in it so the air can cool the player’s leg. The nylon liner makes the boot comfortable. There are ankle pads inside the boot provide extra protection and comfort.

The Mission Inhaler NLS:06 have street 82A outdoor wheels which are very durable and can be used on concrete and asphalt surfaces. They are mounted on HI-Lo chassis, 76mm wheels in front and 80mm on the back of the chassis. This configuration allows for better control and helps achieve higher speed. The boot of the skate is made of anatomically woven nylon. Wear patches improve the boot’s durability and also improve the protection. The toe caps are ventilated to allow the air to flow, keeping the player’s foot dry and cooler during the game. The tendon guard is lowered so the player has optimal mobility without having the safety compromised. The tongue is covered in felt and has integrated lace bite insert. On the inside of the boot is the liner, made of brushed felt, which keeps the moisture away.

There are plastic bumpers on the side of the boot which improve protection and the durability of the boot. The dual density tongue provides improved comfort and protection. The Dri-Bic liner wicks away the sweat. In the ankle area, there is extra padding which locks the foot in firmly and provides extra comfort from day one.

Possible drawbacks:

The waxed laces can be a bit tricky to tighten in the beginning.

Players agree that Tor Hockey THOR BX-PRO skates are very stiff in the beginning but that they are really comfortable after they break in.

Besides the laces, it has the power strap and the upper buckle which all combined give the skater high level of support. They come with a brake that will help beginners to stop easily. The women’s skate has slightly different construction so it fits their feet perfectly.

Possible drawbacks:

These skates are entry level skates so do not expect to have pro level features.

Hi-Lo setup gives player more aggressive stance, explosiveness, and agility. Even though it has Tech nylon quarter package it gives nice stiffness and stability in the heel section. These roller skates have one piece anatomical tongue which provides nice anatomical wrap and protection.

Possible drawbacks:

The manufacturer declares the wheels to be the outdoor type, but they seem to be softer than expected and tend to wear when used on asphalt or concrete surfaces.

Player feedback:

The combination of the price and the specs makes players really satisfied. Except for the sizing (have in mind that Bauer inline hockey skates are 1.5 sizes larger than your US shoe size) almost all agree that these skates are great quality, looks and price combination.

Overall value:

With medium price Bauer RH X300R skates are affordable, pro level quality and overall great value for your money.

The Tour Hockey BoneLite 500 Inline hockey skates are somewhat narrow so they will feel tight if you have wide feet.

Player reviews:

Players with wide feet complain about the narrowness of the boot, but except for that and some breaking in time, they agree that these roller skates are a good purchase and the are just what you pay for.

Overall value

Definitely recommended if you want to start playing roller hockey and are on limited budget.

The red felt liner can stain your socks.
